Ganesha Literature

Ganesha's literature is a thread with an endless number of stories. A number of stories about Ganesha are present in the Indian Literature . Ganesha is understood to be the first deity one must pay their respects to in the sense that if someone wants to pray to Shiva, they must first get through Ganesha's doorstep. Ganesha is a so popular that he is mentioned in most of the puranas including the Rig Veda(the oldest Veda).
